Bolt Creek fire 5% contained and Shoreline crew is home

The Bolt Creek fire is 5% contained. Hwy 2 remains closed as there are rock falls, fire debris, and falling trees threatening the highway. Index residents were cleared to return home.

Our Shoreline fire crew was able to return home. King county sheriff's deputies have been helping with residents.

WSDOT crews are helping to clear the road

The fire has burned 9,440 acres so far.
