Shorecrest cross country team

The Shorecrest cross country team had an eventful Jamboree at Lake Wilderness on Saturday 9-6-2025 which included lightning flashes and wasp stings.

The Tahoma CoEd Relays was filled with unexpected challenges when multiple runners were stung while running and lightning caused the race to be delayed for 30 minutes.

The athletes persevered and finished the race with enthusiasm, determination, and support for their fellow teammates.

The first official meet for Shorecrest will be Wednesday, September 10th at McCollum Park in South Everett. They will be competing against Archbishop Murphy, Mountlake Terrace, and Monroe at 3:45.

Come support these amazing athletes!

Kelly Hjelle
Shorecrest Cross Country Assistant Coach

Correction to title: the problem was lightning, not lighting!
