One tradition that has been preserved - the Bon Marché star

When the Bon Marché / The Bon was absorbed into Macy's and then Amazon in downtown Seattle, there was concern that the beloved Christmas star would be lost in the deals.

But Amazon preserved the tradition and the star still burns brightly on the building at the corner of 4th & Pine.
