Regular protest resumes at Shoreline-Edmonds border Sunday

Monday, June 23, 2025

About 50 people resumed their vigil on Sunday June 22, 2025 at the Shoreline - Edmonds border to call attention to the works of the Trump administration.

Participants choose and often make their own signs, reflecting the issue they are most concerned about.

This week, after President Trump joined Israeli leaders in attacks on Iran, personally directing the American military to bomb three sites in Iran supposed to be nuclear facilities, many of the signs said "No WAR"

Another protest at this location is scheduled for Sunday, June 29 from 1-2pm. A large protest is planned for July 4th.

Iran had >60% enriched uranium, which has no peacetime purpose at all. Enrichment for power generation stays below 10%. The Iranians have negotiated in bad faith for over a decade. They have been sanctioned by IAEA for hiding their program from inspectors.

Do these protesters want the most unhinged government in the world and the top state sponsor of terrorism to have nuclear weapons?

I went to this protest. It was high energy. There were lots of extra signs, so, you don't need to have one of your own. More people would be nice. The more the merrier.

I'm not sure it's the bobbin of the nuke site that irritated people - it's that himself yapped long and often during his campaign and previous stint about peace and how it's all about him. How';s that thing in Ukraine getting along? The one he was going to end his first day in office? Or that place on the mediterranean that he wants to turn into a resort?
