Artist seeking community input for art work at Shoreview Off Leash Dog Area (OLDA)
Thursday, May 15, 2025
Artist JoEllen Wang will be creating an Art Fence at the newly refurbished Shoreview Park Off Leash Dog Area (OLDA). She's in the concept design phase of the project and is seeking input from the community.
You may have already talked to her at the ribbon cutting event on Saturday, May 10, 2025 - but here's another opportunity to share your thoughts.

I appreciate the link to the survey, but a more relevant question for the citizenry is whether our tax dollars should still be funding public art in the current financial environment. Shoreline's dog parks are pitiful and, from a doggy perspective, will not be improved by artwork on a fence (which will simply provide a new venue for graffiti).
I vote to create something the dogs can pee on. The Shoreview and Ridgecrest dog parks are boring as heck for humans and dogs. And I've heard dogs were injured by the rocks at the Ridgecrest park. If this is the best Shoreline wants to provide, then don't b**** about off-leash dogs in Hamlin and Boeing Creek Parks.
Well said!
