The incident that damaged the new roundabout on NE 185th by the Transit Station was not reported.
Shoreline Public Works believes that the damage was caused by a CDL truck driver.
Because the city has already set schedules for contract work this summer, it will probably be spring of 2026 before full repairs can be made.
Since it is primarily cosmetic, it is a lower priority compared to other critical maintenance and operations work that needs to be completed this construction season.
In the meantime, the City will clean up the debris and repair the bent sign.

The circle is too small. That wall has been damaged once before as well. I have a small SUV and it’s hard to not ride on the “curb” of the circle.
What's CDL?
Commercial drivers license
It tells you how poorly the City of Shoreline is being managed that it's going to take a YEAR to get this repaired. Any competent city government would have a repair as simple as this done in a week!
I hope they planned to regularly repair that barrier when they built it because it's already getting destroyed and it's been in place for less than a year.
Repaired in spring 2026? That's embarrassing. But why bother repairing it? The circle's too small. To move traffic effectively roundabouts need a wide circumference, but we know that the goal here is traffic control. Heaven help us when the roundabouts at 145th open.
Poorly designed roundabout. All the areas where they add new roundabouts/sidewalks around Shoreline seem to be making turns more narrow. I often wonder how a school bus or semi could navigate them. I suppose if Shoreline can’t even get workers to cut overgrown weeds in medians and next to sidewalks everywhere then this repair may take awhile. New landscaping next to new sidewalk on 5th Ave overrun with weeds taller than knee height. Welcome to Shoreline sign on NE 175th hidden by weeds. Get it together City of Shoreline.
