Cross Country Girls: Shorecrest wins District 3A Championship - Shorewood takes 2nd - both will go to state

The Shorecrest Girls Cross Country Team won the District 3A Championship held in Arlington on Saturday November 1, 2025 and secured their fourth consecutive trip to State as a team.

They competed against 14 other teams and finished with 41 points. The first, second and fifth finishers overall were Shorecrest girls! 

Alex Urquhart, a tenth grader at Shorecrest, took first place in the girls race with a time of 19:02.

The boys team finished 5th with two two runners qualifying individually to compete at the state competition.

Shorewood girls finished in second place and also qualified for state.

The state competition is November 8th in Pasco.

Congratulations - maybe it helps that the school is on the edge of Hamlin Park for training?
