AG: Washington joins national effort to crack down on robocalls

Friday, August 8, 2025

Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown announced that Washington has joined a new national effort by the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force.

This multistate initiative cracks down on robocalls through accountability telecommunications providers.

The task force will help providers follow the rules by responding to traceback requests and complying with federal registration requirements for all companies that route calls to U.S. numbers.

Finally! Thank you for the effort. Wish there were a national 'do not call' list for Cell numbers as there is for land lines.
