--3 different intoxicated males lying on sidewalks were taken for detox.

07-05 Argument in bathroom of Aurora Safeway ended up in a fight with weapons - a knife and a porcelain toilet lid.
07-06 Echo Lake mural tagged for the second time.
07-06 Suicide attempt with overdose of oxycodone.
07-08 Two unknown males stole a dance pole from Lovers' Package.
07-09 Commercial burglary at Ballinger Village, 20030 Ballinger Way.

07-12 Person lying on sidewalk at 145th and Aurora taken for alcohol detox.
07-12 Shoplifter at Aurora Safeway arrested after found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
07-12 Man found unconscious in running vehicle at NW 175th and 3rd NW with suspected heroin.
07-13 Intoxicated man lying on sidewalk at N 155th and Interlake taken for detox. BH subject.
07-13 Subject in rehab facility for medical issues, including two cardiac arrest episodes, was unaware because of mental issues. Cut monitor and tried to escape.
07-13 Suicidal BH subject in Echo Lake park transported to hospital.
07-13 Male driver, accompanied by four friends, drove around the barrier and through the planting bed at Richmond Beach park so they could "star watch."
07-14 Person on sidewalk at 12xx 155th requested detox.

06-29  Deputies responding to 911 hang up call found a fight between boyfriend and ex-boyfriend.
07-01  Kelsey House resident reported hearing a drilling noise. Someone was drilling out the coin receptacle.
07-01  Person under heavy influence of drugs flags down patrol car officer then runs off and tries to get into private residences. Police catch him. During the frisk he tries to punch officer and is tased.
07-01  Passerby reports seeing male push female. When officer arrives female is sitting in front of building.
07-01 Mailbox pried open 175xx 10th NW.
07-02  Shoplifted a muffin and a flashlight from Costco and was caught.
07-02  18 nuisance calls to juvenile daughter
07-03  Blue Nails on Ballinger burgled.

07-03  Tenant at Echo Lake Apartments N 198th pulled a gun on plumbers trying to access apartment for emergency repairs. Referred to BH unit.
07-04  Person observed stealing a newspaper. He ran from police, then attempted to punch officer. Booked into jail.
07-04  Two individuals contacted at public storage at 14900 Aurora were booked on warrants.
07-05  Two males on bicycles were stopped for violations. One arrested on warrants. One said he had swallowed drugs and was taken to Harborview.
07-05  Residential burglary 16xx N 203rd Pl.
07-05  Unknown subject cut the realtor lockbox and stole a coffee table. NE 174th.
07-05  Resident on N 198th had mental breakdown and was breaking his own windows. He thought people were trying to kill him.
07-06  Drunken shoplifter at Aurora Safeway was loading his backpack with beer right in front of an employee.
07-06  Male walking around someone's yard, naked from the waist down.
07-07  Person, drunk and violent, punching a companion in a local restaurant.
07-07  Mail theft on Interlake.
07-07  Two males stealing liquor from North City Safeway are on video footage.
07-07  Person drinking vodka in Trader Joes' restroom.

06-24 Physical fight between neighbors. Injured party will not press charges because he hates cops and besides he's an ex-Marine special forces B12 operator.

06-25 Overdose victim in Fred Meyer parking lot given Narcan.
06-25 Vandalism at Highland Ice Arena.

06-26 Man in his 60s incapacitated by alcohol at Echo Lake park around 6:30pm.
06-26 One person staying at America's Best Value motel stole the alternator from another person's vehicle. Police recovered alternator from thief's motel room and arrested him on warrants.
06-27 Vehicle parked at Darrell's Tavern broken into with a screwdriver.
06-27 Subject arrested while spray painting bathroom at Echo Lake park was assaulted by other subject being transported to jail.
06-28 Residential burglary at Polaris apartments.
06-29 Transient registered sex offender with two grocery carts of possessions arrested after hours at Echo Lake park.
06-29 Back pack stolen from Y locker.
06-29 Four men in Echo Lake park after hours smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, loaded pot pipe. Put out cigarettes, poured out beer, informed of rules, and told to leave.

06-30 Theft from vehicle in locked garage at Echo Lake Apartments.
06-30 Person with mental issues Trespassed from North City Walgreens after causing a scene.

Trending this week:
  • Thievery: stolen packages, car, bikes, items from storage lockers - and that's just the first page
  • Middle and high school students getting in trouble during the last week of school. Trying to start fights with racial slurs, sending photos of guns.
  • Domestic violence - mother-daughter, father-daughter, neighbor disputes, roommate disputes
  • Car prowls - this is always a favorite
  • Mental health issues - one person called for help, others were creating public scenes at stores, resident with a bad reaction to new meds, dramatic suicide attempt
  • Alcohol - four people picked up who couldn't walk or take care of themselves because of extreme intoxication.
  • DUI - one was speeding and failed to yield, two others were hit and run situations.

06-17  Officer responded to a domestic violence call with verbal disturbance. When he arrived, the door was open and a male was inside calling for help. Officer entered and found a suicidal person in a bathtub full of water, holding a knife.
06-17  Responding to a call for a welfare check at a city park, officer found a severely intoxicated person crawling on hands and knees.
06-17  Report of a disturbance in progress. Dispatch had advised that an irate and uncooperative caller reported that a female was "breaking her door down." Deputies discovered that a social media dispute had led to a female kicking the door.
06-17  Adult daughter assaults mother. Mother at first tries to cover for daughter but then decides to press charges.
06-18  Arrest made for hit and run DUI at Fred Meyer.
06-18  Speeder on Aurora at 1:30am at first failed to stop for police. After stopping was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
06-18  Arrested a person in a garage on 18th NE at 4am for investigation of burglary.
06-18  Computer taken from City vehicle in overnight car prowl.
06-18  Wells Fargo investigator turned over evidence of ongoing check fraud by a known suspect.
06-19  Woman reports that ex-husband is stalking her at her job.
06-19  Shoplifter arrested at Marshalls.
06-19  Father slaps daughter in face; charged with child abuse.
06-20  Woman who left children alone in apartment charged with child neglect.
06-20  Resident who was feeling suicidal called for help and was transported to hospital.
06-22  Multiple tags and graffiti at Echo Lake Park bathroom.
06-22  Individual drinking at bus shelter unable to talk or walk.
06-23  Armed individual making threats to kill at Viking Sports Bar.

06-15 Unknown suspect fired a handgun in the parking lot of the North City Safeway.
06-16 Neighbor dispute. A year ago his children accidentally hit a volleyball over the neighbor's fence. He just saw the volleyball in the neighbor's yard and it had been cut open.
06-16 Woman sitting at a red light looked over at the car next to her to see the male driver strangling his female passenger. Police were able to follow up.
06-16 Employees at Central Market found a purse belonging to a known shoplifter. They were able to recover the stolen items and did not press charges.
06-16 Burglar pried open multiple storage units at 20065 15th Ave NE.
06-16 Shots fired - deceased male in driver seat of vehicle. (See article)
06-17 Shots fired through windshield of vehicle at 202xx 24th NW. No injuries.
06-18 Suspect booked on suspicious of burglary.

05-21 Mother cited for child neglect after her son could not wake her up.
05-21 Subject causing a disturbance at a massage parlor was Trespassed and arrested on a felony warrant.
05-22 Subject sleeping on private property who refused to leave after multiple warnings and became very aggressive to officer was arrested on criminal trespass.
05-22 Person passed out in car was arrested on warrants for failing to appear for court dates.
05-22 Three juveniles taken to Seattle Children's for taking pills and making comments about wanting to die. Case referred to RADAR unit.
05-22 Victim told to buy Google gift cards to pay the IRS - it was a scam.

05-24 Female taken for involuntary commitment after climbing on the roof and threatening to jump.
05-24 Person walked into Pier One Imports, said he was suicidal and asked to be committed. Taken to Swedish Edmonds.

05-25 Shoplift at the Euro Deli Lakoma at 20011 Aurora turns into assault with a knife and damage to merchandise.

05-16 Person was sent for involuntary commitment after walking into the Pacific Learning Center and making suicidal statements.

05-16 Officers slim-jimmed a vehicle to rescue a dog locked in a car while the owner shopped at Petco. Driver cited for civil infraction.

--Huge number of Behavioral health calls this week - 15 - everything from cutting to hearing voices to feeling suicidal to public meltdowns.
--Five Domestic Violence calls - shoving, slapping, threatening, hitting, kicking
--Trespasses from Walgreens, Rite Aid, Safeway
--Tagging - only 3 or 4 but there haven't been any for a long time.
--Fraud - several counterfeit bills, including one passed by a child; two cases of people falling for the scam of running a check through their account and giving part of the money to the person with the check - then the check bounces.

05-05 Officer interrupted a 15 year old girl and 17 year old boy having sex in a car on 15th NW.
05-07 Contacted 17 year old, drunk in public, making threats, in possession of a bottle of vodka.
05-07 Suspect picked up for mail theft, then booked on outstanding warrant.
05-07 Unknown suspect threw a cup of liquid at another vehicle following road rage incident.
05-08 Officer encountered a man in Echo Lake park after hours, who said he was looking for his keys. The officer had already found them - on top of the man's loaded marijuana pipe. Cited for being in park after hours.
05-08 Burglary 194xx12th NW - probable entry through unlocked door.
05-08 Lady Bug coffee stand on Aurora robbed at gunpoint.
05-09 Transport to Northwest Hospital for detox and mental evaluation.

05-09 Subject arrested for burglary after violating Trespass order to steal beer from Chevron station.
05-09 Male barking like a dog and pounding the pavement was taken to Northwest hospital.
05-10 Behavioral health unit responded to resident who was hearing voices. He agreed to see a mental health professional.
05-10 Big dog grabbed a small dog by the neck and carried him off down the street, 150xx Dayton.

05-11 Student at Meridian Park elementary paid their food account with a counterfeit $100 bill.
05-11 Subject obstructed and then assaulted officer doing a welfare check at Aurora Safeway.

03-12  Elderly male with dementia walked away from assisted living home and was found near Twin Ponds park.
03-12  Male who had been drinking was found at 200th and Aurora with a stab wound in his buttock. All he remembers is that he was out with his brother.
03-12  Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle abandoned in the middle of the road at N 148th and Corliss with the engine running. Deputy found the driver passed out in the front seat.
03-12  Short term employee stole money from cash register at One Cup Coffee while manager was distracted.
03-12  Vehicle stolen from Aurora Village transit center.
03-12  Man assaulted his girlfriend of 4 years and left. Has not been found.
03-13  Package stolen off porch at 158xx 11th NE.
03-13  Deputy responded to report of a suspicious male walking around a yard carrying a leaf blower. When deputy arrived and called out to the man, who appeared to be around 19, he dropped the leaf blower and ran.
03-13  Male remanded to jail for DUI after showing up drunk to his probation hearing.
03-15  Female with mental issues who had been drinking had a knife and was threatening suicide by cop. She was taken for involuntary commitment.
03-15  Car stolen from driveway 191xx 15th NW.
03-15  Car prowled at Fircrest and Nike workout shirt taken from trunk.
03-16  Vehicle stopped for failing to dim high beams. Drove off while officer was talking to him. Car found abandoned a few minutes later and K9 track was unsuccessful.
03-16  Deputies responded to report of shots fired. Found evidence of gun battle in unit at Louisa H apartments on NE 148th, but no one was there.
03-16  Person given verbal warning for yelling at Metro bus driver at Shoreline CC stop.
03-16  Residential burglary 173xx Fremont. Smashed window with a rock. Stole laptop and digital camera.
03-16  Car vs tree collision at 162xx 15th NE. Driver arrested for DUI.
03-17  Just before midnight, arrested drivers who were racing on 15th NE near Perkins Way.
