The program began in August 2024 as a two year pilot program. It kicked off with 200 devices, including 50 bikes, operated by Lime (maximum number of devices capped at 400).

New seated scooters called Gliders were added to the fleet in 2025. Currently, up to a maximum of 1,000 scooters and bikes are allowed in the City.

The City will reevaluate the pilot program and make adjustments by the end of the pilot in summer 2026.

Riders must be 18 years or older. Helmets are strongly encouraged by Lime and the City. You can get a 10% discount by verifying that you are wearing a helmet through the Lime app.

Lime is managing all operations including device deployment, maintenance, recovery/rebalancing, and responses to community reports.

Starting June 2026, end a Lime bike or scooter trip at Link light rail stations in Shoreline and get an automatic discount of up to $7 off your ride!
