King county closes food stand in Shoreline

The King county health department closed the Elote Stand at the corner of N 185th St & Aurora Ave N, located in the same shopping center as Bella's Voice Thrift Store (Gateway Plaza).

Date closed: August 12, 2026 at 6 pm

Reasons:

• Operating without a valid permit
• Failure to receive approval to operate
• Imminent health hazard: Insufficient refrigeration to keep food safe
• Operating plans not reviewed and approved to ensure safe food handling and storage
• Imminent health hazard: Operating without hot water available
• Imminent health hazard: Insufficient refrigeration to keep food safe
• Imminent health hazard: Operating without handwashing facilities
