Election update: Ryu, Noble maintain leads in legislature races
Friday, November 6, 2026
In the race for the Washington State Assembly’s 32nd District Position 1, former SEC antitrust attorney Danica Noble grew her lead over Shoreline Councilmember Keith Scully as of the last count. Noble has 50.21% of the vote to Scully’s 47.93%, with a 982 vote lead.
Washington’s 32nd District State Senate candidate and outgoing State Rep. Cindy Ryu’s slim lead over incumbent Senator Jesse Salomon also grew during the last vote count. Ryu now has a 49.63% share of the vote, to Salomon’s 48.62%, a 1.01% margin. She gained 2,229 votes as of the most recent count, and now holds a 443 vote lead over Salomon.
If this margin holds, the 32nd District’s Senate race will stay just out of the range for a mandatory recount of ballots. Per the Secretary of State’s office, a mandatory recount is triggered if the difference between candidates is less than one-half of one percent and also less than 2,000 votes.
