On Friday morning October 30, 2026, Kenmore Police Officers responded to assist Shoreline Police (a fellow contract city with the King County Sheriff’s Office) to a threats detail involving a weapon at a grocery store on Ballinger Way in Shoreline.
The suspect had threatened to kill employees at the store and Officers.
Kenmore Police has extensive history with the suspect from earlier in 2026, as he had previously made threats towards them.
When Officers arrived on Friday, the suspect fled on foot.
While taking him into custody, the suspect pulled out a knife and repeatedly attempted to stab the Kenmore Officer, slashing the Officer in the arm with the knife. The suspect was eventually arrested. The Officer is okay, and he later received treatment at an area hospital for his injuries.
The suspect was booked in the King County Jail for felony harassment (for having threatened to kill a store employee and responding officers), as well as felony assault on the Police Officer.
After a little over 24 hours in jail, the suspect was released on the $25,000 bond set by a Judge.
The suspect’s whereabouts are unknown, and he will be expected to appear for a future court hearing.
