Daylight Saving Time
Thursday, October 29, 2026
This Saturday is not only Halloween, it's the night we change our clocks again.
Spring forward - Fall back - so we gain the hour we lost in the spring.
Amtrak published a notice about its train to Canada. The trip is listed as four hours one direction, two hours the other, and the trip actually takes three hours.
World War II was a very long time ago. Seems like it's time (yes) to make a decision to leave the clocks alone.
But we would probably spend 50 years arguing about whether to go back to standard time or stay on daylight time.
And don't forget there may be clocks in your home that will not update themselves. Microwave, oven, coffee pot, the decorative clock on the wall - we'll find out on Sunday.

I believe the Germans started it in World War 1, so we can blame them and the Senate for not voting it out so the president can sign the bill ending this tick tock game.
