The Northshore Emergency Management Community Preparedness Fair on October 10, 2026 brought our community together for a fantastic day of learning, connection, and preparedness!

It was wonderful to see so many community members come out to meet local emergency preparedness experts, ask questions, and learn valuable skills to help keep themselves, their families, and their neighbors safe.
From engaging presentations and hands-on demonstrations to checking out the drones
, learning about first aid and emergency first response, exploring fire suppression techniques, and getting practical guidance on water, sanitation, and more, there was something for everyone!
We also received lots of great questions for our Police Department! A heartfelt thank-you to Officer Ivey, Officer Coleman, and Chief Zanella for joining us, sharing their knowledge, and taking the time to answer community members’ questions.
A special thank-you goes to all the amazing volunteers and organizations who helped make this event possible, including NEMCO, Shoreline Fire Department, King County Search and Rescue, and everyone else who contributed their time, knowledge, and energy. Your dedication makes our community stronger, safer, and better prepared!Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, volunteered, and helped make the fair such a success. Together, we’re building a more prepared, resilient, and connected community!
