Elections: What voters need to know right now
Monday, October 12, 2026
The best way to prepare for this election is to make sure you’re registered at your current address and make a vote plan.
- Register to vote or update your registration online at VoteWA.gov through October 26, 2026.
- A template will arrive in the Local Voters’ Pamphlet, or voters can find one at kce.wiki/VotePlan to think through their voting plan today.
- If your ballot doesn’t arrive by October 19, call King County Elections at 206-296-8683.
- If choosing to mail your ballot back, USPS recommends mailing at least one week before Election Day. KCE strongly encourages you to return it as soon as you receive it. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day to be counted as on-time.
