Food, good brews, great company
at the 4-Corners Brew Fest

Organizers are celebrating the success of another great 4-Corners Brew Fest. The 4th annual event was held on August 9, 2014 at the Innis Arden Clubhouse grounds.

This fundraiser gives back to the 4-corners neighborhoods of Hillwood, Richmond Highlands, Richmond Beach, and Innis Arden and one charity (Shoreline Music4Life).

What goes better than brats and beer?

The weather was perfect, the people were happy, the food was amazing, and the beer was... well, what can you say about local craft brews?

Elysian Brewing won the Golden Growler
with their Night Owl Pumpkin Ale

The popular vote for the best brew went to:

Golden Growler - Elysian Brewing's Night Owl Pumpkin Ale
1st Runner Up - Fremont Brewing's Oaked Dark Star Imperial Stout
2nd Runner Up - Naked City Brewery's Noir City Black Saison

Honorable mentions went to:  Lantern Brewing's Cassie, Gallagher's Where-U-Brew's Hop-o-damus IPA, NW Peaks Brewery's Ingalls Ginger Pale Ale, Georgetown Brewing's LA Woman Kolsch, Stone Brewing's Collective Distortion Double IPA

The Pink Torpedos entertain the crowd

Most Pulls (aka Most tokens collected)
1st - Gallagher's Where-U-Brew
2nd - Fremont Brewing
3rd - Salish Sea Brewing

Fastest Blown Keg
Stone Brewing Collective Distortion Double IPA

You can have a head on your beer
but not everyone has a beer on their head

Special thanks to...

  • Recology for providing both financial support and garbage/recycling services,
  • Special Brews for selling tickets and providing volunteers,
  • Crescent Moon Massage for offering 2 1-hour massage certificates for door prizes,

???? = I don't understand what you are trying to say. Would you be so kind to elaborate?

"4 Corners" is a deliberate attempt to form a super-neighborhood, a contradiction in terms. The brew fest and other branding events are gradually conditioning the community to accept this regionalization. You and the other frogs do not feel the heat, and will undoubtedly deny you are being boiled. That's how it works.

No need to get nasty. I don't even live in Richmond Beach. Just didn't understand what point you were trying to make and hoped for a little enlightenment.

Sorry, no need to take it as nasty. Being a boiled frog is not the frog's fault. Just be thankful for the enlightenment instead of taking it personal.

And no one said anything about Richmond Beach (only one of the 4 corners).
