Civic Series sessions kick-off with a community interactive reading of the Constitution on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at City Hall, 17500 Midvale Ave N, Shoreline 98133.
Come together for an educational, nonpartisan celebration of civic engagement, community, and the words that shape our democracy.
The Seattle Labor Chorus will start us off by singing the Preamble. Doors open at 6:30pm, event starts at 7pm.

Additional sessions include:
Oct. 8th: Voting Systems – How Your Vote Becomes and Elected Official. Come to understand voting systems and the pros/cons of each. Learn more about alternative voting methods and voter confidence measures. The session will also give an overview of the initiative process.
Oct. 22nd: Running for Local Office. How do I take a step into running for office? Come learn what these service positions entail and how to scaffold prior volunteer experience into public office. Hear from others who have run for office in Shoreline and King County.
