Sign-wavers say Trump's pledge to cheat should be wake-up call

"A Disgrace to our nation"
"We have a constitution, not a KING"

President Trump last week leading his supporters in a pledge to "cheat like hell" in the upcoming midterm election was shocking.

It wasn’t funny and it wasn’t a joke, certainly not to the faithful who were repeating the words to his pledge - and most definitely not to the sign-wavers who show up every Sunday at the Shoreline-Edmonds line to stand up for the Constitution and founding principles of this country which he is asking them to forsake.

Almost 50 area residents turned up despite the threat of rain, with signs calling out Trump’s continued undermining of confidence in our elections, leading us into war in the Middle East which is sending gas prices skyrocketing, promising $5,000 checks from tariff money paid by American businesses and consumers (which he does not have the money or authority to issue and which would add more than $1.2 trillion to the deficit), and so much more.

"Epstein files: we haven't forgotten"

Though one attendee reported being "flipped off" by a woman driving by, the majority of the feedback "communication" was positive.

Sign-waving occurs every Sunday at the intersection of Aurora Avenue North (Hwy 99) and N 205th St, from 1-2pm. Bring a sign or just yourself (some are available to borrow) and stand up for the Constitution, the rule of law, civil rights, human rights, politicians who don't fall asleep in meetings, or make insider trades, or award contracts and pardons to donors.

As always, non-perishable food, toiletries, and school supplies will be accepted for donation to a local organization helping those in need.
