Temporary Utility Relocations to Support Retaining Wall Construction - September 21, 2026

The City of Lake Forest Park advises residents that retaining wall construction for the SR 104 / NE 40th Place Roundabout Project begins today. To facilitate this work, temporary relocations of overhead electrical and communication lines are scheduled for the week of September 28, 2026.

The City is coordinating these activities with Seattle City Light, Comcast, and Lumen to support construction progress while minimizing potential service disruptions to nearby properties.

Anticipated Service Impacts

Widespread service outages are not anticipated. However, a limited number of individual homes may experience a temporary interruption in electrical or communication service during the relocation work. Residents with planned service interruptions will be notified directly by the appropriate utility provider or project representative.

If an unexpected electrical outage occurs, residents should contact Seattle City Light for outage assistance. For interruptions to internet, telephone, or cable service, residents should contact their respective communications providers.
