Civic Engagement in Action: Protecting Rights, Strengthening Democracy, and Making Your Voice Heard October 10

Tuesday, September 29, 2026

Join AAUW Edmonds SnoKing for a timely panel conversation with local and statewide civic-engagement leaders.

Representatives from the ACLU, League of Women Voters, Indivisible, and Delta Sigma Theta will discuss ways community members can stay informed, protect civil rights, participate in elections, and take meaningful action to strengthen democracy.

Panelists will explore practical questions such as:
  • What civic and voting-rights issues deserve our attention now?
  • How can individuals distinguish reliable information from misinformation?
  • What are effective ways to engage beyond Election Day?
  • How can community members advocate for equitable, inclusive public policy?
  • What local opportunities exist to support democracy, civil rights, and voter participation?

This event will be on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 10am-12n in room 338 of Snohomish Hall on the Edmonds College Campus, 20226 68th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036
