Spider season

Maybe not the happiest season of the year but it is definitely spider season.
This European garden spider built her web on my deck. She caught a large Western conifer seed bug. We were able to watch her capture and wrap her prey yesterday.
Today after retreating from the rain with her prey, she looks to be eating her meal.
