Letter to the Editor: Vote Yes for Shoreline Schools

Thursday, January 27, 2022

To the Editor:

One of the greatest assets any community has are its schools. Our schools both educate our children and are a source of community pride. We are proud of the programs the Shoreline School District provides our children and their families. We support the levies on this February’s ballot and we hope you will join us in voting “YES” for Shoreline Schools.

In a time where we all feel the effects of the pandemic, our children and their families need our continued support. Proposition 1 provides funding for education programs not fully supported by state and federal funding. Counselors provide direct support for our children.

Our family advocates connect families to resources in the community, access to food, clothes and housing, support students in foster care or experiencing homelessness, and provide assistance to families in crisis.

Proposition 2 provides the technology, support, skills, and resources critical in preparing our students for their future.

Our kids, our families, and our community need your continued support for our public schools. Please vote YES on Shoreline School District Proposition 1 and Proposition 2.

According to the Shoreline area news, statistics for the United States they list approximately 880,000 people have died. For conversation let’s say 1 million people.

That translates to 0.4% and that’s being generous.

Every life Lost matters, is saddening, and as affected so many more in so many ways forever.

As a result life will never be the same ever again for anybody. Sad name is all all small businesses basically have been wiped out or will be wiped out. Peoples lives that they’ve devoted to creating those businesses are gone. We would be stuck with big box stores primarily and paying whatever they wish to charge, as we already are.

If you look at the amount of lives I’ve been lost worldwide that as well as less than 1% but to be generous I’d say 1%. Look what we have done across the world. We’ve changed the world. Forever. There’s no going back.

Again every life does matter every Life that was lost is saddening, traveling, and affected so many other loved ones, friends, coworkers in so many ways. That will be with them and everyone forever.

If you take the actual statistical numbers that has been posted on Shoreline news and other new sites organizations and the list goes on, and you break down in the black and white numbers the way that I have, what have we done?

We drank the Kool-Aid! Changed and destroyed lives for generations. More so what have we done to our children and grandchildren, that they have lost, their lives have been changed, education changed, and now since we’ve lost a generation.

Defined any statistical information that is factual I have posted, it’s extremely hard to find and good luck finding it.

I’m sure once you’re done reading this it will have the impact on you the same as it has me. We drank the Kool-Aid is already stated. We threw out the baby bathwater out the window, never get it back.

The world will never be the same ever.

Again, every life lost matters, impacted so many, I believe the statistics on the average additional lives that it affects is about 15 additional people, statistically. Obviously with a plus minus factor.

Sure makes you look at things differently when it is put into statistical factual numbers the way that I have. Have you seen it anywhere else, possibly, but if you have I bet if you go back to the site is no longer there.

That as well, as a fact.

And originally was to be one shot. But ironically the vaccination cards came out with four slots in them from the get-go. Another statistical fact.

Personally, I’m sick of the Kool-Aid.

Respectfully,
Rev. Chris
