Shorecrest, Shorewood football teams both play home games this week

Both Shorecrest and Shorewood will play home football games at Shoreline Stadium this week.

Shorecrest will play host to Mount Vernon Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a Northwest District qualifying game, with the winner to meet undefeated Metro League champion O’Dea Saturday in a quad-district playoff game in Seattle . The winner of the Saturday game advances to the State 3A round of 16 Nov. 11-12.

The Scots take a 5-4 record (5-3 Wesco 3A) into the game against Mount Vernon (6-3, 1-1 Northwest Conference 3A).

Shorewood will finish its season Friday at 7 p.m. at Shoreline Stadium against Squalacum of Bellingham.

The Thunderbirds take a 2-7 season record (2-6 Wesco 3A) into the game against Squalacum (3-6, 3-4 Northwest Conference 2A division).

The Shorecrest junior varsity (0-4) plays a home game Monday at 6 p.m. against Marysville Getchell (0-7).

The Shorewood junior varsity will take a 3-3 record into a game at Sedro Woolley (6-2).
