Teddy Bears are police and fire equipment
KING 5 ran a story about the Teddy Bear Patrol and used the Lake Forest Park Police department as an example.

A Lake Forest Park Police Officer handed a stuffed animal to a child amid an Amber Alert earlier this week.
In an act of compassion, police officers and first responders are giving children toys to cope with traumatic incidents.

Bartell Drugs is helping to give “bear hugs” to children in stressful or traumatic situations as the Puget Sound area drugstore chain teams up again with Warm 106.9 FM in the annual “Teddy Bear Patrol” campaign, April 5 through May 2.

Celebrating its 125th anniversary, Bartell Drugs’ 60 stores in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties are designated locations for teddy bear donations. Purchase an official “Bartell Bear” for $8.00 and Bartells will donate a second bear to the campaign.

Over 15,000 bears have been collected at Bartell Drugs locations over the past few years for this tremendous cause. The annual drive puts teddy bears in the hands of community police departments, hospitals and emergency response teams so they may give bears to children involved in challenging situations.

Bartell Drugs in Shoreline is located at Gateway Plaza at N 185th and Aurora. Other nearby locations are in Mountlake Terrace on 44th, Westgate in Edmonds, and NE 125th in Lake City.

Bartell Drugs is helping to give "bear hugs" to children in stressful or traumatic situations as the Puget Sound area drugstore chain teams up again with Warm 106.9 FM in the annual "Teddy Bear Patrol" campaign, now through March 30.

All 58 Bartell Drugs locations are designated locations for teddy bear donations. The annual drive puts teddy bears in the hands of community police departments, hospitals and emergency response teams so they may give bears to children involved in challenging situations.

Over 74,000 bears have been collected over this past several years for this tremendous cause.

Donation options at Bartell Drugs stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties include:
  • Purchase an official "Bartell  Bear" for $7.00 and Bartell Drugs will donate a second bear to the campaign
  • Donate a new or gently used bear, under 12"

Echo Lake Student Council is sponsoring a
Teddy Bear Drive!

Please donate stuffed animals-
NEW
12 inches or smaller
January 11th- February 2nd

These animals will be given out by police and firefighters to comfort children in crisis in our community.

Echo Lake Elementary teachers Karen Nicholson and Jane Blaylock are the advisors for the student council leaders, who are in grades 3-6. Community members can contribute bears by dropping them off at the Echo Lake Elementary school office on school days, between the hours of 9am to 2pm. A number of donation options are available at Bartell stores:
  • Purchase the Bartell Teddy Bear for $7.00 and Bartell Drugs will donate a second bear to the campaign
  • Make a monetary donation towards the purchase of a bear
  • Donate a new or gently used bear, under 12"
More than 65,000 bears have been collected to date.

You can help by purchasing the Bartell Teddy Bear Patrol Bear for $7.00 and Bartell Drugs will donate a second bear to the campaign

You can make a monetary donation towards the purchase of a bear.

You can donate a new bear, 12" and under.

The campaign ends on Wednesday, March 31.
