The Belted kingfisher goes a-courtin'

Spring is courting season for the Belted Kingfisher. I was able to catch this male with a fish in its mouth.

Turns out the female (shown with the brown portions) was looking on as well. In mating season, the male brings fish to the female as part of courtship.
