The Shorewood Thunderbirds took the field in Granite Falls to open the 2018 season, and came away with a 42-0 win. The shutout was the first for Shorewood since 2006.

The football program, under Head Coach and SW PE instructor Brandon Torrey, is back in the WesCo League this season after playing an independent schedule in 2017.

Torrey has been rebuilding the program, resulting in a 25% increase in players and over 25 seniors on the roster this year. The now senior core had a very successful freshman season in 2015, with a 8-1 record. They return to make a run to a winning varsity season.

The opening home game versus Meadowdale High is Friday, September 7 at Shoreline Stadium. Kickoff is at 7pm.
