Final Statement from Robin McClelland

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

By Robin McClelland

The election results have been certified, and it is clear that my opponent has prevailed in this very close race.

I remain grateful to my dedicated hard-working team, the hundreds of Shoreline people who helped finance my campaign, and the thousands of voters who believed I have the best qualifications for serving on our city council.

I am particularly proud that my team kept the promise requested by my opponent to run a clean campaign. At no time did we resort to smear tactics or distort his positions.

I will continue to lend my expertise, knowledge, and time to the compelling issues we face as we work to keep Shoreline the best place to live.

Robin thanks for stepping up to run. I believe you would have been an excellent council member. While I'm disappointed in the results, I hope that your opponent will represent the best interests of all Shoreline citizens.
