A former resident of Shoreline, I happen to know this "young woman" as she was my daughter's best friend in high school. For years, we all knew this jerk was toxic, but no one could break the spell he had over her. But as I consider all I knew of her, her sweet heart, her forgiving disposition to all her abusers, including those she should have been able to trust, I don't want her death to be a side note in some local rag. She was a human being, a creature of God, and her life mattered too. I'm so tired of how ideology has frozen all our hearts to turn away from the suffering of our fellow humans. Even if KING5 or any other local outlet never follows up on her story, I challenge you to do more investigative reporting than just this little addendum in the midst of the societal collapse we are currently enduring. She should be honored for the loving heart that beat within her.
