Shoreline, Northshore and Woodinville fire departments to discuss combining

Three fire departments, including Shoreline - which serves the city of Shoreline; Northshore - which serves Lake Forest Park and Kenmore; and Woodinville - which serves the city of Woodinville - are in discussions about combining and regionalizing their departments.
The commissioners of the three departments will meet on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Kenmore to begin discussions.

The reality is that it's time. They have similar missions, very similar structures, same dispatch center and nearly identical training. It will benefit the taxpayers in a reduction of high level command staff salaries.
