Customers with Military I.D. Receiving 5% Discount at TOP Food & Drug on Tuesdays through July 6

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

TOP Food and Drug stores are offering a 5-percent discount on grocery items each Tuesday from June 1 through July 6 to customers with military identification, which includes active-duty service members, their spouses and retired service members.

Customers only need to show their military identification at checkout stands to receive the 5-percent discount on Tuesdays. Alcohol and tobacco products, lottery tickets, gift cards and stamps are among the items ineligible for the discount. Customers may ask for details at a store’s Guest Services counter or visit the website.

“As we approach the celebration of Independence Day, this is our way of thanking service members and their families for their contributions to our country,” said Becky Skaggs, spokesperson for TOP Food and Drug.
Haggen, Inc. operates 33 supermarkets in Washington and Oregon under the TOP Food and Drug and Haggen Food and Pharmacy names. Headquartered in Bellingham, it is the largest independent grocer and eighth-largest private company based in the State of Washington. For more information, call your local TOP Food and Drug store or visit the website.
