Ty McFarland welcomed as new GM of KCMS Spirit 105.3, KWPZ Praise 106.5 & KCIS

CRISTA Media, part of the CRISTA family of ministries, has announced the appointment of Ty McFarland as the new General Manager for its stations broadcasting from Seattle (KCMS SPIRIT 105.3, KCIS 630) and Bellingham (KWPZ PRAISE 106.5). 

Effective November 1, McFarland will step into the GM role following the promotion of Rob White to serve as Vice President of Sales for CRISTA Ministries, parent organization of CRISTA Media and one of the largest nonprofits in the Pacific Northwest.

With over three decades in the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) sector, McFarland has spent the last eight years playing a critical role in programming and content for KCMS and KWPZ, as well as Seattle-based AM station KCIS. In addition to the over-the-air stations, McFarland’s impact has transcended to CRISTA Media’s fast-growing Purposely podcast network and “AllMomDoes” online community. 

Earlier this year, McFarland was recognized as one of the inaugural honorees of Radio Ink’s prestigious national list of “Christian Radio Champions.”

As General Manager, McFarland will oversee daily operations for CRISTA Media, including nationally-renowned CCM stations KCMS and KWPZ. He will report to Channah Hanberg, a former CRISTA Media leader who now serves as SVP of Operations for CRISTA Ministries.
