Plan to vote - November election is critical test for country, democracy
Wednesday, October 14, 2026
Vote, vote early, take your ballot to an official drop box, track your ballot has been counted, and know where to look for help and information if you have any problems.
That’s the main focus of local civic and social justice activists right now, though they keep an eye - and a sign - out for the many of the other pressing issues as well.

Concern for midterm election integrity is the primary concern with ballots being mailed this week and ballot drop boxes open as of October 15, 2026 - so many groups are organizing No Kings! "Get Out The Vote (Early)" events on Saturday.
Everyday Activists and Indivisible Shoreline WA are joining together to host sign-waving and information events at three locations in Shoreline on Saturday, October 17, 10:30am to 12pm, in Aurora Avenue North (Hwy 99) at the intersections of
- N 155th St
- N 175th St
- N 205th St (the Shoreline-Edmonds line)

Ballots must be returned (preferably) or postmarked by Nov. 3 (but USPS rules have changed about where and when in the system ballots get postmarked!) Official locations and drop boxes are safer - and the earlier the better.
Regular "Social Justice Sundays" Sign-waving continues on Sunday (10/18 and every Sunday), 1-2 p.m. at the Aurora Avenue North and N. 205th St. intersection. Signs are available to borrow. As always, non-perishable food, toiletries, and school supplies will be accepted for donation to a local organization helping those in need.
