In an affluent society, it’s easy for children to acquire an attitude of entitlement. How do parents teach responsibility and accountability instead? It’s tough, but worthwhile, because children who learn to delay gratification have better long-term outcomes.

Speaker: Jan Faull, M.Ed.

Jan Faull has taught Parent Education classes for more than 25 years. Her weekly parenting column in The Seattle Times ran for ten years. Author of many parenting book, her latest is Amazing Minds: The Science of Nurturing Your Child’s Developing Mind

She is a recognized speaker to a wide variety of local and national organizations, and regularly conducts classes at Overlake Hospital. Jan holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

The workshop designed for parents, teachers and guardians of all ages. Parents of preschoolers and early elementary-aged children are especially encouraged to come. Workshop is open to anyone (not faith-based curriculum). No pre-registration necessary.
