By Susan Riley, Shorewood Gymnastics Coach

Saturday, Jan. 28, was the final home gymnastics meet for seven Shorewood seniors. Five of these seniors have been on the team for their entire high school careers. Four years ago, these five athletes walked in as bright-eyed freshman; now they are preparing to move on to the next chapter of their lives, after leaving a significant mark on Shorewood Gymnastics history.

Although these five gymnasts will be missed for their athletic ability, their leadership and commitment to excellence will leave a lasting mark on Shorewood Gymnastics.

The Shorewood Gymnastics class of 2012 is rounded out with first year team members Katie Holloway and Megan Lapham.

Shorewood’s final home gymnastics meet was the combined Shoreline Cup and Western Conference championships Saturday at Cascade Elite Gymnastics in Mountlake Terrace.
