WeatherWatcher: Wind advisory midnight to 10 am Saturday

January 20, 2012 at 3:03 pm, the national weather service in Seattle issued a Wind Advisory covering Shoreline and Lake Forest Park.

The wind advisory is in effect from Midnight tonight to 10 am PST Saturday.

  • South winds will increase ahead of the storm front this evening, and will shift southeasterly behind the front.
  • Winds will pick up to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH after midnight and continue through Saturday morning.
  • Local power outages are possible, and areas with tree limb damage caused by the ice and snow accumulations will be at a higher risk of power outages and damage.
