The Shorewood baseball team plays Jackson Saturday for a spot in the State playoffs.

Shorewood and Jackson meet at 11 a.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium for third place in the Northwest District 4A tournament. Mountlake Terrace and Kamiak play at 2 p.m. for first and second.

The top three Northwest District 4A teams will be among 16 teams to move to four four-team regional tournaments next weekend, with the four winners advancing to play the following week for the State 4A championship.

Junior pitcher Blake Snell had a three-hitter. He finished with 11 strikeouts and two walks.

Trevor Mitsui was 2-for-3 with a double and a home run and three runs scored. Nate McClellan was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run.
