Shorecrest girls second, boys third in Wesco South track; Shorewood fifth

Shorecrest’s girls finished second and the Scot boys fifth in the Wesco South championships last week at Edmonds Stadium. Shorewood's boys' and girls' teams both finished fifth. Emily Corona of Shorecrest won the high jump, long jump and javelin throw.

• Girls Team Scores -- Glacier Peak 155, Shorecrest 148, Jackson 123, Edmonds-Woodway 113, Shorewood 94, Meadowdale 59, Lynnwood 38, Mountlake Terrace 34, Kamiak 32, Mariner 29.
• Girls Winners –
100 hurdles—Alexis Ramos (Shorecrest) 16.07;
4x200—Shorewood 1:47.79;
High jump—Emily Corona (Shorecrest) 5-4;
Long jump—Emily Corona (Shorecrest) 16-2.5;
Triple jump—Elisa Ahern (Shorecrest) 35-7.25;
Discus—India Matheson (Shorecrest) 117-3;
Javelin—Emily Corona (Shorecrest) 102-5.

• Boys Team scores—Jackson 160, Glacier Peak 105, Shorecrest 103, Mariner 91, Shorewood 69, Mountlake Terrace 62, Edmonds-Woodway 60, Kamiak 58, Meadowdale 44, Lynnwood 30.
• Boys Winners -
4x100—Shorewood 43.90;
Shot—David Cannon (Shorecrest) 53-0.75.
Shorewood competes Wednesday and Friday, May 19 and 21, in the Northwest District 4A Championships at Shoreline Stadium. Shorecrest competes at the same time in the District 3A championships.
