Red, White, & Blue buttons at Washington State annual button show in Shoreline

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

The annual button show will be in Shoreline on Friday and Saturday, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1515 N 160th St, Shoreline 98155.

Friday is for judges to review collections and make awards. The Saturday show is open to the public 10am to 4pm.

Button collecting is a fun hobby as there are so many different, interesting buttons made out of so many different materials. Many of the buttons are quite valuable, especially the older ones from the 18th century or older. Plus there are many buttons being made for collectors that are also quite expensive. The prices vary greatly, from $20 to $50 and on up to over $100 each.

On Saturday we will welcome all who are interested in seeing what we have and talking to collectors and dealers. This year one of the dealers will even be selling jewelry made with buttons.

There is also a silent auction and several baskets with buttons and other goodies to be raffled off. There is no entry fee but a donation of $5 is suggested.
