Current conditions at Carl's Shoreline Weather Station:

Temperature: 28.8ºF
Temperature trend: steady
Snow depth: 4-5 inches
Humidity: 100%
Barometer: 29.205 inHg
Barometer trend: steady
Weather: overcast, light snow

6:33AM, Wednesday January 18th, 2012.
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 8pm PST this evening.

-Total snow accumulations of 4-8 inches for Shoreline and Lake Forest Park expected.

-Do not drive unless you have to, be prepared for winter driving conditions.

-I was out on the roads this morning at 10:30am, there is compact snow and ice on all roads, only a very select few roads are slushy from salting and sanding. Watch out for pedestrians and kids playing in the streets!  (and sledding on hills)

New forecasts indicate that snow will simply end later this afternoon.   There will be no change over to rain.   Temperatures will plunge this afternoon as well as north winds pick up to 20 -30 mph with possible gusts to 45 mph.  It may start to warm up a little Thursday afternoon and Friday, but it looks like another cool down may happen this weekend.  I'll keep an eye on this situation and send updates if anything significant changes.
