Shorewood girls play host to Cascade Friday after home loss to Meadowdale Wednesday

The Shorewood girls’ basketball team steps away from Western Conference 3A play Friday when the Thunderbirds play host to Cascade of the Wesco 4A South Friday after a home loss to Meadowdale Wednesday.

Shorewood takes a 4-6 overall record (4-3 Wesco 3A) into the home game with Cascade (2-8, 1-4 Wesco 4A South) Friday at 7:15 p.m. with junior varsity teams from the two schools meeting at 5:40. Shorewood returns to Wesco 3A play Jan. 13 at Lynnwood. 

  

In Shorewood’s 55-52 loss to Meadowdale, the T-birds led 15-13 after the first quarter but fell behind 29-20 at halftime. Masha Shtikel led Shorewood with 22 points. Lauren Thompson scored 11. The Shorewood junior varsity lost to Meadowdale, 48-23. 

For the season, Shtikel leads the Shorewood varsity team with 153 points in 10 games.
