SCC Women's Basketball defeats Edmonds 79-60

The Lady Dolphins broke open a close game in the second half and went on for a 79-60 victory over winless Edmonds Community College on Monday night in the SCC Gym.

Shoreline led 32-25 at halftime after three ties and three lead changes in the early going and extended its lead in the second half to 19 points twice before the final 19 point win.

Shoreline's top scorers were Gnanamani Hooyman who scored all of her 16 points in the second half. Jenny Voss scored 14 points, Kaleigh Phillips added 11 points and Maria Ciraco scored 10 points. Caitlin Roussopulus added 10 rebounds for the Dolphins.

SCC is now 8-6 on the season, passing its total wins for 2009-10 with 12 games left in the year. SCC is 2-3 in the NWAACC Northern Region. Edmonds is now 0-12 and 0-4. SCC plays Wednesday again at home against Everett CC at 5:30 pm.
