Gold's Gym closes Shoreline location

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Gold's Gym, located in the Gateway Plaza at N 185th and Aurora, has closed its doors.  The gym had been struggling financially for some time, and requested that the management company find a replacement tenant.

Following is the statement from Gold's:

On behalf of the entire management team at Gold’s Gym, we sincerely apologize for the closure of the independently owned and operated Shoreline location.

Our first priority is to make sure our members from Gold's Gym Shoreline have a place to work out. To that end, members can visit the Mukilteo Gold's Gym at 12138 Mukilteo Speedway where they will be offered a 10 visit punch card or a free 30-Day VIP pass, and they can join for $26.95 per month with $0 enrollment on a month to month membership.

Additionally, two area ProRobics Conditioning Clubs in nearby Laurelhurst and Queen Anne are accepting memberships at their current rates and terms.

For those interested in canceling memberships, Gold’s Gym Shoreline will process all requests, mailed or e-mailed, immediately. Should you have any billing questions or concerns, please e-mail or send a note to:

It's a hard time for all businesses.

It's my understanding from the staff that LFP Gold's is closing because the mall management company, which has been notorious in its being difficult to deal with, was unresponsive in repairing water damage emanating from upstairs. What a shame. There are a lot of people who really enjoyed being able to walk to the gym. Guess I will be driving all the way out to Woodinville.
