Please Donate Blood in November -- Your Neighbors Thank You

Mobile blood drives were created by Dr. Charles Drew during World War II, and America's ability to collect large quantities proved decisive.

Dr. Drew then invented the bloodmobile, and such vehicles have been a part of Bloodworks Northwest's operations since 1955.

In November, with Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving two weeks apart, donating blood is a great way to honor those who have served the country, protect those still on active duty, and do a good turn for our friends and neighbors in need.

November is also Bone Marrow Transplant Awareness month, celebrating that lifesaving medical miracle and calling attention to Bloodworks' role as a world leader in blood-related research.

  • On Veteran's day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026 Global Credit is sponsoring the bloodmobile in the Edmonds Safeway parking lot, 23632 Hwy 99, Edmonds, open from 9am to 3pm.
  • For those able to range east, the bloodmobile will be in front of the Northshore School District Administration Center 3330 Monte Villa Pkwy, Bothell, on Monday, November 16 from 9 to 3 . . . or pass the word!
  • Another two-fer occurs on Monday, November 23, when Bloodworks will be set up at the Edmonds Yacht Club, 326 Admiral Way, down by the shore, and up the hill at Providence Swedish Hospital, 21601 76th Ave W, Edmonds, from 9 to 3.
  • A day later, on Tuesday, November 24, the crew returns to Edmonds from 9:30 to 3:30 at the Waterfront Center, 220 Railroad Ave. These drives just before Thanksgiving are crucial because they prepare the area for the long holiday season, where donations often decline and needs rise.
  • The day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 25, a bloodmobile will be at Lake Forest Park Town Center at the intersection of Bothell & Ballinger Way, from 9 to 3. The day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 27, the crew will be at Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave W, Mountlake Terrace on special "late" hours: 11 am to 5 pm.

Appointments are recommended for all Bloodworks mobile events, those walk-ups are welcome on a space-available basis.

See www.bloodworksnw.org or call 1-800-398-7888, even on the same day.
