The Shoreline Senior Center held its first Chocolate Festival on Saturday October 24, 2026 at its building south of the Shoreline Center complex.

Seven chocolatiers were signed up and an eighth added who heard about the show and asked to be included.

Tickets were sold in advance and almost as many more were sold at the door as residents were unable to resist the siren song of gourmet chocolate.

The ticket price went to the Senior Center to help support its many programs. The chocolatiers handed out samples and sold their wares.

Program Manager Kevin said:

Our first annual Shoreline Chocolate Festival was a rousing success! We are a community-supported nonprofit, and the community showed up!

We had approximately 400 guests and raised over $6,000 which will go directly toward supporting programs and operations at the center.

We are sincerely grateful to our chocolatiers, our sponsors, and especially our volunteers for making this event possible.

Double raspberry, ginger caramel, dark orange, passion fruit, Earl Gray - every row a different flavor

The chocolate appeared in every possible variety.

If you are lucky, there might be some under your Christmas tree.
