Both middle schools in the Shoreline Public Schools are being completely rebuilt. On Monday, April 29, 2019 groundbreaking ceremonies were held at both locations.

Einstein Middle School groundbreaking was held at 5:30pm, then across town, Kellogg Middle School groundbreaking was held at 6:30pm.

Construction and classes will exist side by side at Einstein. Demolition has already occured for parts of Einstein and some classes have been moved into portables.

Kellogg Middle Schools has a large piece of property, so the new school will be constructed behind the old one.

Both projects have an anticipated completion date of August 2020. The new schools will each be approximately 150,000 square feet with the capacity for 1,071 students at each school in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Einstein is located at 19343 3rd Ave NW. Kellogg is located at 16045 25th Ave NE.
