City of Shoreline Maintenance Facility Project Open House Wednesday

City of Shoreline will hold an open house on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6:30 - 8:00pm regarding its Maintenance Facility Project.

The meeting will be held at the North City Water District office, 1519 NE 177th St, 98155.

Information will be given on plans to expand the current Maintenance Facility at Hamlin Park as well as how to address City-wide Maintenance Facility needs.

Your feedback is wanted. Everyone is welcome!

  • The park and tree impacts for the Scenarios at Hamlin Yard, and
  • Using part of the North Maintenance Facility property to expand Brugger’s Bog Park.

I hope the City has someone qualified to lead the discussion - engineers may know their business, and facilities managers might know their's, but the ability to convey effectively to the public is a special skill and the City would do well to remember that - I attended the presentation re: reducing lanes on NE 175th between 5th and 12th, and it was overwhelmingly disapproved - mostly due to the poor presentation, I believe (and the adamant opposition by Frank Lumber Door Store, employees of which I suspect never try to cross the street as pedestrians).
