When the Pratt Family was in town for the dedication of the Edwin T. Pratt Early Learning Center in Shoreline, the local NPR affiliate did an interview with Pratt's daughter Miriam, and her godmother, Shoreline resident Jean Soliz.

Miriam was a little girl when her father was assassinated in his Shoreline home; Jean and her mother were their next door neighbors and friends.

According to Jean Wiebe, mother of Sarah Haycox, whose campaign was responsible for naming the Pratt Center, the visit of the Pratt family to the new Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center on February 1 is scheduled to air nationally next Friday March 29 on the CBS Evening News.
