Annual STP bike riders hitting the roads July 16-17

Saturday, July 16, 2016

10,000 cyclists will ride western Washington’s state highways and local roads for the 2016 Group Health / Alaska Airlines Seattle to Portland (STP) fundraiser ride.

WSDOT warns that major traffic congestion will occur in areas from Kent to Portland. They ask drivers to share the road and prepare for travel delays during the popular event. WSDOT also reminds bicyclists of their responsibility to follow Washington’s rules of the road.

A Shoreline team, including local business owners Lindsey Willis (Vanity Salon) and her father Steve Erickson (Easy Monkey Taphouse), are riding to raise money for Pinky's Passion for a Parkinson's Cure.

Pat "Pinky" Erickson  has been raising funds for Parkinson's research since Pat was diagnosed 15 years ago, donating primarily to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

If you would like to donate, go to Ridewithpassion.org and sponsor Lindsey, Steve, or one of the other riders.

For more information on the STP visit the Cascade Bicycle Club STP page or the route map.
