Friday is Bike Everywhere Day

The month of May is Bike Everywhere Month and Washington has been recognized as the number one bicycle friendly state.

Friday, May 20, is Bike Everywhere Day.

Shoreline is encouraging its staff to bike to work that day. The City is teaming up with Trader Joe’s to staff a Celebration Station on the Interurban Trail at 175th from 6 - 9am to encouraging people as they bike to work. 

Kenmore is holding an After Party on Friday at the 192 Brewing Company, 7324 NE 175th St, Kenmore 98028 to celebrate Bike Everywhere Day. From 4 to 7pm they will have live music, bike resources, giveaways, and snacks. A full food and beverage menu will be available.

Students at the University of Washington Bothell are helping Kenmore put on this event with event supporters – Cascade Bicycle Club, 192 Brewing Co., Corpore Sano Physical Therapy, and Bothell Ski and Bike.

Edmonds Bicycle Advocacy Group is hosting Edmonds Bike Everywhere Day celebrations on Friday. From 6-9am they will have a Celebration Station on the Copper Pot Indian Bar and Grill’s outdoor patio, 102 Main St, Edmonds 98020, one block north of Edmonds Train Station.

A Celebration Group Ride, led by Bertrand Hauss, City of Edmonds Transportation Engineer, departs from Edmonds PCC Natural Market at 7:30am in produce department, 9803 Edmonds Way, then rides through Woodway and back to the Edmonds waterfront.
